Terms of Service
Last updated: April 9, 2026These terms apply to all IT support, maintenance, and installation services (remote support and home visits) provided by DigiKaveri.
1. General
By ordering a service from DigiKaveri, the customer accepts these terms. The service is intended for consumers and small businesses in Finland. We reserve the right to change these terms; the valid terms can always be found on our website.
2. Provision of Service
We offer IT support either via remote connection (all of Finland) or on-site as a home visit (Uusimaa area).
Remote Support: Implemented using secure remote support software. The connection is established only with the customer's permission, and the customer can see everything done on the device at all times.
Home Visit: Agreed with the customer in advance. The customer or their representative must be present during the provision of the service.
3. "No Fix, No Fee" and Satisfaction Guarantee
We want to offer a risk-free service. The "No fix, no fee" guarantee means the following:
If we cannot solve your problem or provide a clear workaround or solution proposal, the service is completely free of charge for you.
Exception (Hardware Failures): If the cause of the problem is found to be broken hardware (e.g., broken hard drive or motherboard) that cannot be repaired via software, the diagnosis of the fault is considered a successful job, charged according to the normal price list. We will then advise the customer on further measures.
4. Customer Obligations and Backup
Important: The customer is always personally responsible for backing up the data on their devices (pictures, documents, passwords) BEFORE starting maintenance procedures.
Although we handle devices with extreme care, information technology always involves the risk of unexpected hardware failure. DigiKaveri is not liable for lost files or software, or for costs arising from data recovery.
5. Prices and Payment Terms
The price of the service is determined according to the current price list. Prices include value-added tax (25.5%).
The payment method is by invoice (email or paper invoice). The payment terms are 14 days net unless otherwise agreed.
Tax Credit for Household Expenses: The labor portion of home visits is tax-deductible. DigiKaveri specifies the labor portion on the invoice, but the customer is responsible for applying for the deduction from the Tax Administration.
6. Cancellation Policy
A home visit appointment or remote support session must be canceled at least 24 hours before the agreed time. For appointments canceled later or not canceled at all, we reserve the right to charge the price of one working hour or the remote support base fee.
7. Limitation of Liability
DigiKaveri is only liable for direct damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Under no circumstances is DigiKaveri liable for indirect damages, such as loss of income, business interruption, or damages caused to a third party.
8. Disputes and Applicable Law
Finnish law is applied to these terms. We always strive to resolve any disputes primarily by negotiating with the customer. If no consensus is reached, the consumer customer can submit the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board for resolution.
